Just about everyone in the business world carries them so why shouldn't moms? I've noticed a new trend with moms getting contact cards made up so that when they meet a potential new mommy friend or playmate for their child, they can ensure that they will see that wonderful person again.
Some moms take the do-it-yourself route and use a word processing program and some pre-made perforated Avery business cards to make their contact cards. Others use a design or desktop publishing software to create an image of the card and then it off to a printing company for production. While a few moms take advantage of some of the forward-thinking companies that design contact cards specifically for moms!
A lot of moms will ask "What do I include on the card?" I recommend including your name and your child(ren)'s name, for example: Jane Doe, Mom to John and Joan. Then add your phone number(s), email address, blog site, favorite quote, etc. You get the idea. Some moms include their address on the card, however, for the ones I created for myself, I chose to leave out that information. I'm not worried about other moms knowing where I live, but just in case the card gets dropped by accident, I don't necessarily want a stranger to get a hold of it for safety reasons.
Here are some of the sites out there that are great for creating mommy contact cards:
Moo.com

Prices will vary from under $10 to upwards of $50.
