Let Friends and Family Watch Your Child Grow at TotSpot.com

At Totspot.com, in beta phase at time of posting, parents can create a website just for their kids.  With cute templates, the ability to upload photos, and record current favorites, growth charts, and firsts, Totspot.com has a lot to offer.

After getting my special beta invite, I was really excited to check out all the features.  My favorite, appropriately enough, is the section where I can record all of my son's current favorite things.  Now I have a way of capturing his favorite food, TV show, activities, and more and I will be able to look back on it in the years to come.  The best part?  When I update his favorites (as we know how fickle toddlers can be) I will still have a record of past favorites.

There is also a section to record "firsts".  My son is 2 years old now and admittedly I've been really bad at recording these important milestones, but he's still got a lot of "firsts" to go so I'm hoping Totspot.com can keep me in line.

Totspot.com also makes it really easy to share with family and friends and their privacy settings are great.  Parents can be confident that their children's information won't be shared with anyone they don't approve.  Provided within the site is an area where you can input your email provider information and send invites to those with whom you want to share your Totspot.com page.  The idea is that if your friends with kids sign up too, you can "friend" each other and interact through your Totspot.com pages.  You can even tag your Totspot.com friends in the pictures you upload.

Totspot.com is a great example of a thoughtful social networking site for parents.  It is very easy to navigate and inputting the information and photos is neither complicated nor time consuming.  For a busy mom like me, this is very important.

Totspot.com, at time of posting, is invite only.  However, visit their website and request an invitation.  I've been told I'll have a way to offer invitations through Moms Group Manual in the future to my readers.  Stay tuned.
